Dr. Shifra Vega

Dr. Shifra Vega was raised in Wilmington, Delaware and received her B.Sc. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to arriving at YCT she worked in a variety of administrative positions in non-profit and educational settings. She is a firm believer in YCT’s inclusive message and welcoming approach to Judaism. She and her husband, Rabbi Michael Gordan (a YCT musmach and lawyer) live in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania with their children Elisha, Abner and Yemima.
