Yossi Ben Harush
Jewish Studies Teacher, SAR High School
Yossi Ben Harush is an educator and a Jewish Studies teacher at SAR High School in Riverdale, New York. He recently moved to the US as a Shaliach after teaching High School in Israel for seven years.
Yossi is a doctoral student in the Department of Jewish Thought at Ben Gurion University and writes about Hasidism in the Land of Israel at the beginning of the 20th century. Among other things, he is engaged in researching the ultra-orthodox world about the theological, sociological and anthropological changes that have taken place in it in recent years. Has a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Jewish thought from the Hebrew University. He also lectures in various informal settings.
Yossi was born and raised in Jerusalem, a graduate of the Hesder yeshiva in Petach Tikva and other Torah settings, married to Yaara and the father of Beeri, Elia and Tahel.
