Mission

We seek to create a spiritually vibrant and intellectually open
Orthodox community whose Torah radiates outwards
to help transform the entire Jewish world.

Our mission is to train rabbis, educators, and leaders who embody this vision in their teaching of Torah, their spiritual support of individuals, and their building of diverse and welcoming communities;
and to deepen and disseminate a Torah and halakha that gives life to this vision and enables it to thrive.

Core Values

In doing this work we are committed to the following core values:

Torah and Mitzvot

Anchoring our lives in the Torah as d’var Hashem (God’s word) and in the conscientious observance of halakha (תורה ומצוות).
Joyous and passionate learning of Torah in all its rich forms, with love, intellectual openness, critical thinking, and with reverence (תלמוד תורה ואהבת השם).

Self and Others

Being self-aware in our leadership and interaction with others, honest with ourselves when we make mistakes, and committed to learning and growing from them (הכרת עצמו והכרת מעשיו)
Contributing to the advancement of women’s full participation in talmud Torah, ritual, community, and religious leadership (כל אשה חכמת לב)

Community and Klal Yisrael

Building diverse and welcoming communities in which every individual is seen and valued (קהילה קדושה)
Promoting love of, and our responsibility towards, all Jews and actively pursuing the positive and respectful interaction of all Jewish movements (אהבת ישראל וערבות)

Israel

Championing Eretz Yisrael as our homeland and the religious and national significance of the State of Israel (דרישת ציון)

The World

Affirming the shared divine image (צלם א-להים) of all people, our responsibility to improve the world and our capacity to be enriched by it (תבל ויושבי בה)
